In 2007, Dr. Peeler won the University of Virginia School of Medicine Dean's Award for Clinical Excellence, given to a faculty member who demonstrates exemplary patient service and a high level of clinical skill.Dr. Peeler has special interests in complex neonatal repair surgery, as well as single ventricle palliation including specific interest in treatment of hypoplastic left heart syndrome.
